What changes at Builder Hall 6
Your Builder Base now has two stages. Attackers fight the first stage, and only if they destroy all of it do they get to attack the second, which is centered on O.T.T.O's Outpost. Destroying the Outpost earns a star and releases Zappies; 150% and 200% destruction earn the other two, so an attack can now earn up to six stars. Each stage has a two minute timer.
O.T.T.O becomes your permanent second builder. The Healing Hut heals troops that survive stage one before stage two starts (Heroes excepted), and the first Reinforcement Camp holds extra troops that can only be deployed in stage two. The Roaster, which shoots splash flames at both air and ground, is the new defense, along with a third Archer Tower, a second Hidden Tesla, a second Crusher and a fifth Army Camp.
Each stage can hold at most 13 defenses, 12 traps and 100 Walls, while BH6 gives you 17 defenses, 14 traps and 120 Walls in total. The Builder Barracks reaches level 8 for the Night Witch, and the Battle Machine can reach level 10. The upgrade costs 1,200,000 Builder Gold and takes 3 days.
Upgrade priority
With O.T.T.O you now have two builders (three with B.O.T.O), and the Master Builder is free to gear up Home Village buildings while O.T.T.O keeps working here.
- Star Laboratory to level 6 and your main troops, since stage two only matters if your army survives stage one.
- Healing Hut. Each level heals surviving troops by a larger share of their health between stages.
- Builder Barracks to level 8 for Night Witches, if you plan to use them.
- Roaster, the best defense against Night Witches and their Bats.
- Battle Machine toward level 10.
- Second Crusher and Hidden Tesla, then O.T.T.O's Outpost, whose upgrades add Zappies.
- Storages for the 1,800,000 Builder Gold BH7 costs, then the rest.
How to choose a base at BH6
The first stage has to be destroyed completely before stage two opens, so a strong first stage caps the attacker at three stars. Many players put their best splash defenses, the Roaster and Multi Mortar, in stage one and use the remaining slots of the 13 defense quota to cover every edge.
The second stage needs enough defense to stop a tired army plus fresh reinforcements. Put a Crusher and a Double Cannon near O.T.T.O's Outpost, and remember that its Zappies fight back when it falls. Since the quota tells attackers how many defenses each stage holds, they can sometimes work out how many Hidden Teslas are hiding, so vary where they sit.
Against Night Witches, keep the Roaster central, place Mega Mines where Witches tend to stack Bats, and avoid empty corners where a Witch can build up Bats out of range.
Common attack strategies at BH6
Plan two armies in one. Your Army Camps fight stage one, and the Reinforcement Camp is filled with a troop chosen for stage two. Before stage two you get another minute of planning, any Army Camp you did not deploy at all can be swapped, and surviving troops are healed by the Healing Hut. Abilities used in stage one cannot be used again in stage two.
Night Witches behind Boxer Giants are a strong BH6 army. The Witches summon Bats over and over, and their Bat Swarm ability adds a burst of them. Keep the Battle Machine alive through stage one if you can, since he carries his remaining health into stage two.
Cannon Carts and Baby Dragons are still common. Whatever you use, finishing stage one with time and troops left is what unlocks the extra stars.
Farming and resources at BH6
Six-star attacks pay the most Builder Gold, so getting into stage two regularly is the fastest way to grow. Builder Elixir from defenses depends on how few stars you give up, which makes a strong stage one the best investment for both resources.
BH6 adds a second Gold Mine, Elixir Collector and set of storages. The Elixir Cart holds 800,000 Builder Elixir; collect it before it fills. The Clock Tower can reach level 6 for 24 minute boosts.
Your Builder Base Archer Tower can now reach level 6, which is what the Master Builder needs to gear up a Home Village Archer Tower of level 10 or higher (Town Hall 8). With O.T.T.O working here, sending the Master Builder away no longer stops your Builder Base upgrades.
Mistakes to avoid
- Putting your best defenses in stage two, where attackers only arrive after taking three stars.
- Forgetting the Reinforcement Camp. Pick its troop for the stage-two base you expect.
- Using every troop's ability in stage one when you need them for stage two.
- Leaving the Healing Hut at level 1. It decides how much of your army enters stage two.
- Rushing to BH7 before you can clear stage one reliably.
