Editorial policy

This page explains how Cockit builds its content, so you can judge how much to trust it. Cockit is an independent, fan-made project.

Where layouts come from

Layouts are base designs shared by the Clash of Clans community as copy links. Each layout is labeled with the Town Hall or Builder Hall level it is built for and a type, such as war, farming, trophy, CWL or hybrid. Layouts with links that no longer work are removed. Every layout page has a “Link not working?” button: reports sent with it are reviewed, and a layout whose link is broken is removed.

How layouts are ordered

On Town Hall and Builder Hall level pages, layouts are ordered by average star rating (Top Rated) by default. You can switch to Most Downloaded, which orders by the number of copies, or to Latest. The most copied list on the home page ranks layouts by copies: over the last 7 days once enough recent copies have been recorded, and over all time until then. We do not accept payment to place a layout higher.

How guides are written

Game data in our guides, such as building levels and Town Hall limits, is checked against the Clash of Clans Wiki and the information shown in the game. Guides are reviewed again when a game update changes the information they cover.

Advertising and independence

The Cockit website shows no ads. The mobile app shows ads to cover its running costs, and they do not decide which layouts are listed or how they are ordered. Cockit is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or specifically approved by Supercell. Use of Supercell trademarks and intellectual property is subject to the Supercell Fan Content Policy.
