This Privacy Policy explains how Cockit (“we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information when you use the cockit.io website and the Cockit mobile application. The website section comes first; the sections after it describe the app.

The cockit.io Website

The website does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site is used. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.

Cookies

The website does not show ads. Its only cookies are the Google Analytics cookies described above, and they are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer.

What the Site Stores in Your Browser

The site remembers your language choice in a cookie and, on phones, when you closed the “Get the app” banner (kept in your browser for 7 days). It also keeps your answer to the cookie banner: until you accept, Google Analytics and Google ads run without cookies, and you can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. These values stay in your browser and are not sent to us.

Ratings, Copy Counts and Link Reports

When you rate a base, copy it or report a broken link, we store the base, the action and its date to show counts and fix broken layouts. For link reports we keep only a one-way hash of your IP address, which changes every day, to limit spam; we never store the IP address itself. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser and requested page) for security.

The Cockit Mobile App

Information We Collect

Cockit does not require user registration and does not collect personal information such as name, email address, phone number, or physical address.

The app may collect limited anonymous data for analytics, advertising, and crash reporting in order to improve app functionality and user experience.

Analytics

Cockit uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the app. This may include anonymous data such as:

• App launches
• Screen views
• App interaction events
• Device type
• Operating system version
• General usage statistics

Crash Reporting

Cockit uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash logs and technical performance information. This helps identify bugs and improve the stability of the application.

Advertising

The app may display advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers and anonymous usage data to serve ads and measure advertising performance.

Ads displayed in the app may be personalized or non-personalized depending on device settings and applicable regulations.

Local Storage

The app may store certain information locally on your device using local storage (such as SQLite) in order to save preferences, bookmarks, or cached data. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Game Links

Cockit may provide base layout links that allow users to open layouts directly in the Clash of Clans game. These links only redirect users to the official game application and do not transmit personal data to us.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services which may collect anonymous data:

Children's Privacy

Cockit does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the app. However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure.
