Questions about Cockit
How copying works, how layouts are ordered, and who makes the site.
Copying layouts
How do I copy a base into Clash of Clans?
Open the base and tap the copy button. The link opens Clash of Clans and shows the layout, then you choose a layout slot in the game and save it there. Copy links open the game, so use them on the phone or tablet where Clash of Clans is installed.
What if the copy link does not open the game?
Update Clash of Clans to the latest version first; an outdated game may not open the link. Open the link on the device where the game is installed and your village is loaded. If the link opens inside another app's built-in browser, open it in Safari or Chrome instead.
Why does a copied layout not match the picture?
Each layout is made for one Town Hall or Builder Hall level. Town Hall layouts go into your home village and Builder Hall layouts into the Builder Base. If your hall is lower than the layout's, buildings you have not unlocked yet cannot be placed, so the copy looks incomplete. Pick layouts for your own level.
Which levels does Cockit cover?
Town Hall 4 to 18 and Builder Hall 4 to 10. Written guides cover Town Hall 4 to 18 and are in English.
Ordering, copies and votes
How are layouts ordered?
On each level page, layouts start in the Top Rated order: average star rating from player votes, highest first. You can switch to Most Downloaded or Latest. The most copied list on the home page counts copies of every layout, all levels together.
What counts as a copy?
Every tap on the copy button, on this site or in the Cockit app, adds one to that layout's copy count. The count shows how often players take a layout, not how well it defends.
How do I rate a base?
Open the base's page and pick one to five stars. You can vote once per base in each browser. The page shows the average and the number of votes.
About Cockit
Is Cockit an official Supercell site?
No. Cockit is an independent fan site made by Heyisoft. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or approved by Supercell. Clash of Clans is a trademark of Supercell.
Who writes the Town Hall guides?
Cockit writes them, in English. Game data such as building levels is checked against the Clash of Clans Wiki and what the game shows. Each guide shows the date it was last reviewed and lists its sources.
How is the Cockit app different from this website?
Both show the same layouts from the same database, and copies from both add to the same counts. The app, for iPhone and Android, also lets you bookmark layouts on your phone and come back to them later.
Does Cockit cost anything?
No. Browsing layouts, copying them and reading guides on this site are free, and you do not need an account.
How do I report a broken layout or ask for one to be removed?
Write to us through the contact page and include the address of the base's page. Layouts whose links no longer work are removed.
