Town Hall 16 is where defenses start merging: two maxed Cannons become a Ricochet Cannon and two maxed Archer Towers become a Multi-Archer Tower. Those merges are required before Town Hall 17, so plan builder time around them and look for bases that use the new towers against Hero dives.
